Ardrossan Ferry Terminal
Ardrossan is a small town on the Ayrshire coast of Western Scotland, home to a ferry port offering regular CalMac ferry services to the Isle of Arran.
Book Ferries
At the beginning of the 19th Century, work was started to build a seaport at Ardrossan. Passenger steam ferry services to the Isle of Arran were started in 1834, and towards the end of the 19th Century cargo exports of coal and iron ore began, leaving Ardrossan bound for France, America, Liverpool, Belfast and Dublin. At this time, Ardrossan prospered by way of the shipbuilding industry, but by the 1950's this was in decline. Ardrossan’s two beautiful sandy beaches offer increasingly popular coastal walks, with the South Beach being home to many cafés, tearooms and areas for seaside picnics. The marina also boasts an Italian Bar and Restaurant which offers wonderful views across the bay.
