The village of Armadale is situated at the southern end of the Sleat Peninsula on the Isle of Skye. Armadale, Skye (not to be confused with Armadale, West Lothian) boasts a lovely sheltered beach of golden sand, which attracts watersports enthusiasts all year round, especially August-October. The shoreline of the surrounding area is home to puffins and many other seabirds. Armadale village can be reached by ferry across the Sound of Sleat from Mallaig in Scotland, with regular ferry crossings offered by Calmac ferries.

Travelling to Armadale Ferry Terminal

Armadale is located 16 miles south of Broadford on the A851.

You can travel by train from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh, or from Glasgow via Fort William to Mallaig.

Armadale: Port Facilities

There is no café or bar at the terminal itself but some can be found in Armadale itself, approximately 600 metres from the terminal.

There are disabled toilets, access to the terminal building and lifts.

The terminal is open everyday from 08.30 - 17.00 during the winter and from 08.30 to 19.00 during the summer.

There is a limited parking in the Council car park. Unfortunately, there is no dedicated disabled parking.
